gidl Objavljeno Januar 12, 2005 Opozori Objavljeno Januar 12, 2005 Še mala pripombica: ob smrti Pereza le en post, ob smrti Meonija pa cela stran objokovanja - ali je bil Perez manj človek kot Meoni? ← Perez je padal in po padcu so ga odpeljali v bolnišnico (kot še veliko njih za katere nebomo nikol slišal in za medije je bil to samo tekmovalec ki je padel in so ga odpeljali v bolnišnico) kjer pa je nažalost par dni kasneje umru... Novica ni odjeknila tako močno kot Meonijeva kateremu ja smrt stopila na pot neposredno na trasi in kjer je vse skup dokumentirano od prvih minut naprej...Meonija so poznali vsi in je to za njih ne samo izguba sotekmovalca ampak tud kolega, prijatelja in kaj vem kaj še vse...Sem pa prepričan da v taboru Dakar vsaka smrt pretrese...Meoni je tud ime ki se je pojavljalo v vsakem poročanju o rezultatih, ime ki ima privržence tudi med tistimi ki Dakar spremljamo samo preko TV medija, jaz Pereza nism poznal (medijsko gledano), niti nikol prej nism slišal zanj...osebno pa mi je žal za oba...v bistvu za vse ki so slavno al pa neslavno z smrtjo plačali davek na DAKAR.

Sainct, Pérez in Meoni so, kot je že bilo napisano, umrli medtem, ko so počeli, kar jim je bilo pri srcu, kar je tudi nekaj vredno. Naj jim bo lepo, kjer so. A naše življenje in vse z njim povezano, gre naprej. Mora iti! Pérez in Meoni, srečno in mirno pot! In hvala vama.

Bo pač nov kader dobil prostor v ekipi... Tko kot zdaj eni gruntajo, da iz spoštovanja NE BODO odpeljali do konca - lih tko bi lahko rekli, da NAJ ODPELJEJO iz spoštovanja do Meonija... Stvar osebne odločitve posameznika in sposobnosti za nadaljevanje. Če bi se men frend zmotorjem fental, bi tut jest parkiral (če bi imel motor) za dan ali dva v garažo... Razn, če bi bil tolk prisebn, da bi šu en krog po Sloveniji in si v mislih drdral "tole je pa zate, prjatu..."... Stvar perspektive pač in osebnega čutenja v danem momentu. KTM je pa pussy, če bo resno razmišljal o nadaljnjih neudeležbah na Dakarju... Dakar pač ni "en krog po ljubljanski obvoznici v začetku sezone, ko temperatura še ne prestopi meje 25 stopinj celzija"... in to so vsi vedeli, že od vsega začetka te športne prireditve... Lahko pa spremenijo pravila in tekmovalcem motorje zablokirajo na najvišjo možno hitrost 140 km/h, pa bo vse varno ... in nespektakularno za množice... bLuZoNdEr Objavljeno Januar 13, 2005 Opozori Objavljeno Januar 13, 2005 (popravljeno) Danes se je dakarska dirka nadaljevala tudi za motoriste, ki so si v spomin na Meonija nadeli črne trakove okoli rok. KTM-ovi dirkači so žačeli malo "z rezervo" kar je izkoristil Avstralec Caldecott in dobil današnjo etapo pred Fretignejem in Američanom Blaisom. Vodeči v skupnem seštevku Despres oz. njegova desna izpušna cev je imela bližnje srečanje z nekaj kamni in jo je zato moral "odrezati", na cil je prišel z zaostankom 8'36'', kljub temu pa je ohranil v skupnem seštevku 16min prednosti pred Como. 12:05 Bikes – Frétigné fastest at CP2 At CP2 of the bike race (km246) the best time has been set by David Frétigné (YAM). Second is Andy Caldecott at 1'13, followed by Chris Blais at 2'07. Alfie Cox is fourth at 2'38. Marc Coma, seventh at the CP appeared to have broken his Trip Master. Overall leader had to cut his right exhaust pipe after damaging it on a stone. 13:28 Bikes – Caldecott wins special For the second time on this 27th edition, Andy Caldecott has clinched the special win. The Australian KTM biker beat David Frétigné (YAM) by 2'06 while Chris Blais was third at 3'32. Overall leader Cyril Despres, who suffered exhaust pipe problems finished at 8'16 and comforts his leadership with a 16' advantage on Coma (9th of the special). Second stage for Caldecott After a day of mourning in memory of Fabrizio Meoni, time had come to get back on the bikes and carry on the race. With a black scarf on their arms, the 108 took off for the 370kms of the special between Bamako and Kayes. The fastest on the day was Andy Caldecott, the Aussie clinching his second stage success on the rally. After the cars and trucks yesterday, it was the bikers' turn to pay tribute to one of the greatest heroes of the Dakar, Fabrizio Meoni. With a black scarf around their arm, the riders took off in the middle of the Bamako night, on a 205km liaison to head to the start of the day's special. The sun had just set when the first bikers started their race with Marc Coma in the leading position (after winning the last special). It appeared however that the official KTM favourites had decided to start gently with Andy Caldecott clocking the best time at the first check point (km 152), ahead of Chris Blais on a very technical track. David Frétigné reacted at the second CP (km 246) with the best time while overall leader Cyril Despres had to stop and repair exhaust pipe problems after hitting stones on a small fall. The Frenchman indeed lost time but made up for it in the last very fast portion of the special. Meanwhile, Andy Caldecott was flying to his second win on the rally and crossed the finish line with a 2'06 on Frétigné and 3'32 on Chris Blais who manages his best performance so far. Današnjo etapo je dobil vodilni v skupnem seštevku Despres in povečal prednost pred Como na dobrih 9min in mu tako pustil le malo upanja, če sploh kaj za skupno zmago, saj tekmovalce jutri čaka le še zadnje dejanje - dirka po Dakarski plaži :yea2: . Ampak kot nas preteklost uči: IT ISN'T OVER, TILL IT'S OVER! :grrr 12:44 Bikes – Despres wins special On the penultimate stage of this 2005 Telefonica Dakar, Cyril Despres conquered his second special of the race. The Frenchman beat surprising compatriot Alain Duclos by 1’24. Third on the day was Andy Caldecott at 1’54, followed by Esteve at 2’20 and De Azevedo at 3’37. Thanks to his win on this Dakar-Tambacounda stage, Despres comforts his lead on Marc Coma and now has a 9’45 advantage with one stage to go. Coma indeed finished 7th today, 5’29 adrift. 12:42 Bikes – Despres fastest at CP1 At the first and only CP (km 151) of the bike race between Tambacounda and Dakar (225km), overall leader Cyril Despres has clocked the fastest time of the day. Taking off in 7th position this morning, the Frenchman caught and overtook his closest rival Marc Coma. Second is Alain Duclos at 1’59, followed by Isidre Esteve is at 2’18, Andy Caldecott at 2’47 and David Frétigné at 3’53. Marc Coma is 6th at 4’51 which means that Despres now virtually has a 8’20 overall lead on the Spaniard.

On his way to Tambacounda he didn’t keep to the speed limit while passing through one of the villages along the way. For that he was given a 9 minute penalty. Thus in the overall his lead on Marc Coma shrunk to 3’16 minutes. For today, Cyril had to stick to one tactic: He had to mobilize all his strength to ward off a possible attack from Marc Coma, the Spanish talent. But the Frenchman from Team KTM Gauloises prepared everything for his first Dakar victory. Cyril Despres took the last but one special and clocked a time of 2 hours 27’37 minutes on the 225 km course. Marc Coma came in six and a half minutes behind the winner. An amateur claimed a 2nd spot and surprised everyone. The Frenchman Alain Duclos on his 450 KTM arrived only 1’24 minutes off the pace. Andy Caldecott from Team KTM Motorex Australia showed another excellent performance in this year’s Dakar. He clinched a 3rd place (+ 1’54). Today’s route suited Cyril Despres. Over the last few years he has gained a lot of experience navigating and the many paths through the savanna didn’t lead him astray.

Na zadnji etapi med motoristi ni prišlo do sprememb na vrhu. 1.25 p.m. For every rally participant who made it to Dakar a dream came true. It is especially for this last special at Lac Rose just outside Dakar’s gates that the competitors endure two strenuous weeks. It is a joyful ride. Everyone is celebrated by an audience of several thousands of people. Everyone who participates in this last stage is a Dakar hero. There was one question left open: Would Alfie Cox defend his place on the podium against Isidre Esteve Pujol? Or would the Spaniard from Team Repsol-Red Bull challenge the South African in the overall? Alfie Cox has won the match, but by close margin! Kellon Walch from Team KTM Red Bull USA won the stage. He clocked a time of 17’17 minutes on the 31 km special. It was an excellent ending for the American KTM team which rode and incredible rally. Isidre Esteve Pujol claimed a 2nd place. He had started the final attack in third and came in 52 seconds behind Walch. The Netherlander Eric Verhoef, KTM amateur, arrived 0’55 seconds adrift. Ampak to je del dirkanja in s tem se je treba (čeprav težko) pač sprijazniti - na žalost.

Ima mogoče kdo podatke kolk smrtnih žrtev je bilo druga leta?!

simonsi Objavljeno Januar 16, 2005 Opozori Objavljeno Januar 16, 2005 Včeraj gledal intervju z 21-letno francozinjo, ki je odpeljala letos svoj prvi Dakar in prišla do cilja. Poleg tega da je luštna rečem lahko samo še :worship: Evo, nimate nobenega izgovora več, zakaj ne bi šli na Dakar ;)
bLuZoNdEr Objavljeno Januar 16, 2005 Opozori Objavljeno Januar 16, 2005 ...ja to tut jez študiram (sam jebejo me finance in cajt da bi si pridobival izkušnje :D ) Drugače pa še 2 smrtni žrtvi sta Danska turista ki sta prišla v mesto Dakar da bi pričakala konec dirke in sta si nekaj dni pred tem sposodila motorje za vožnjo okoli. Oba je zbil prenaloženi afriški kamjonar :BUA:
